Star Model B 1911-ish pistol? Honestly, if these were a little less I would probably jump on one.

Obviously there are some differences between the 1911 design and these, but how similar are they? Are there interchangable parts? Are mags hard to get? Anyone know anything about them?

I ordered a hand-picked one a couple days ago. The STAR B is a fantastic pistol. I already own a 1953 model.

Just buy one and have it refinished in HC.

Don't tempt me.

Ha.

I must admit, if these were in HC, I would get one for sure, even if they were a little more $$... The one from pulp fiction looks great.

Update:

My STAR Model B w/ wood grips shipped out today. I called AIM first thing this morning to make sure I would get my hand-picked STAR with the wood grips. They are so more classic looking than the black polymer grips. Should have pics up on Wednesday afternoon.
