A little over 3 months. About par for the course. Enjoy your shorty! For some reason the sheriff here refuses to sign NFA forms but I'm moving soon anyway and then it's stainless sparrow and m42k time.

Very nice!

It took from October 05 to April 06 for the transfer for my MP40 to come through.

I've heard of wait times of 12 months or longer in the days prior to NFA's move to West Virginia.

Does alabama have provisions to use gun trusts? I highly recommend that route.

I have the same issue with my CLEO here. That's the reason I went Trust.

I sent in a Form 1 for an SBR with CLEO signature on September 16, 2010. Had tax stamp in hand on 15 November, 2010. Signed by Dana Pickles. He called me a few days before I got the stamp (Thursday prior) to tell me I had forgotten my Certification of Compliance. He said if I faxed him a signed copy that afternoon, he would get my stamp in the mail that day. I did so, and had my stamp by Monday. He also helped me make sure my 5320.20 was done correctly before taking my SBR to NC, as NC has some additional state statutes that need to be covered on the paperwork.
