Does anyone have recommendations on a low profile IWB holster for a compact 1911? I found some decent looking options from De Santis, however I could use some other input.
Thanks!

C5 Leather Montana... Why pay an outrageous price, and have to wait for ever for a MS??? Pretty asinine...

I don't care about brand names. I just want something that will do the job and function well.

Is there a leather IWB with a single clip? The models I've seen referenced are a little larger than I want and require that a belt slip through it.

Go with the C5 Leather Montana... Its like $85.00 shipped, and Jim is a great guy to deal with... The guy that told me about his holsters had used MS in the past and then switched to the C5 Leather holsters and said they are just as good...

Maybe try a Milt Sparks Summer Special. These are easy to find.

Are any of the recommended holsters in this thread more "Finish Friendly" than others?

The Alessi Talon Plus is one of my favorites. If I didn't already have a Sparks SS and VM-II I would get one for my 1911s.

Theis, a GT member, sells horsehide and kydex IWBs that are very much like the CBST. Really comfortable and he's a fantastic guy to deal with.

I use the Ritchie Stakeout for my Ultra Carry and will say that it's extremely comfortable. I originally bought the Ritchie Nighthawk (Talon clone) but was looking for a more secure and comfortable fit. Purchasing the Stakeout ended my holster search - I highly recommend it.

That's a copy of the Alessi PCH which I've heard is very comfortable but I've just never had the chance to try one.

Definately LOVE the CBST. Haven't tried a VM2 yet, but will soon. The Stronghold is another nice option. Tried one recently, but my buddy bought it.

My CBST was REALLY comfy with the HK. Didn't notice I was wearing it. Looking forward to see how the KC and +13oz carries in the VM2.

I'm really wanting to try the Tucker Answer, since it's leather lined and suede backed.
Hokie, people love the VMII but since I'm so small, the high-ride doesn't conceal well with me. I know you're not as small as me but I would go ahead and order a CBST or The Answer anyway. :tongueout:

Yeah, a VM2 probably wouldn't work for you bro.
