Took my annual LEOSA (for retired law enforcement) class this morning and used my new SIG SP2022 9mm for the range part. Qualification was 50 rounds on a standard silhouette target and the gun performed flawlessly. I've owned 226s and 228s before and the trigger pull on this 2022 is the equal to those if not slightly better. I am not that great of a pistol shot but this gun makes even me look good.

The more I look at these the more interested I become. It seems like a hard gun to beat at that price point.

Congrats on the qualification! I need to look at one of those, sounds like it's hard to beat for the money.

I carried a P226 as a duty weapon for one agency I worked for and have also personally owned a P228. While these guns are top of the line for reliability and accuracy, the 2022 beats them hands down for value and is just as accurate and reliable, in my opinion.

See, and I have had 2 of the sig pros 1 in 9mm and 1 in 40, and just got a 226 but have shot them before, I dont like the sig pros they are not even in the same class as the 226.just my experience.

How about some specifics? Accuracy? Trigger pull? Dependability?

I dont shoot as accurate with them... That 226 is SWEET...although I didnt keep them very long and practice with them. As far as dependable they are probably just fine.

For me I just like the feel of the Glock over the Sig Pro.. I would rather spend 400-450 on a used glock.

Kind of like 1911's you spend more on a 1911's they tend to be more reliable and have better accuracy.. ME, I believe the same with the sigs, the traditional 226's 229 and that, SIG has put more in to them to be more accurate and relaible and better triggers.

From what I have always seen on the various forums the Sig Pros and the 250's are the least favorite of sig enthusiasts. You usually see things like save a little more and get the 226 or 229..

I think The price of these weapons attract alot of people.

Too me the HK, sigs and Glocks are the top 3 pistols in the world.... but there are some glocks I dont like. Most Hk's are SWEET... sigs my favorite are the 229 and 226 and 220... glocks 19, and 23... and if you look at the majority of LE in this country , whats carried..?? glock, 19, 17, 23, 22.... HK's.. sig 226, 229.. even had some guys I worked with still carrying 1911's, sig p220's...why?? proven dependablity..

Just my opinion.. we all have one... just imagine if we all liked the same things in life..

..But some of the lower priced weapons out there are probably fine for the average person who dont shoot alot...Fact unless you are LE you will probably never even Pull out your weapon other than target shooting.

I have to say I really like the SIG SP2022. For the $$$ it's hard to beat.

I have a number of Sigs as well as other pistols. I've had a 226 for years and my EDC is a 220. I also own a 225 that I love. I recently bought a 2022 in 9. I found it to be the equal of the others and, by far, the finest plastic pistol on the market. I, too, love the trigger. For the price, you simply cannot find a better pistol anywhere.
