New to me. Just saw their ad in one of my new gun clips, I mean magazines. Their ad said they retailed for $500, so I would imagine they could be had in the $400-450 range. I guess I better post the link. Duh.

Apparently they're totally undetectable through airport metal detectors.

I handled one a few weeks ago at a local gun show. I wasn't impressed. I actually think the RIA Milspec is better quality from comparing the two. Finish was somewhat "splotchy," kind of gritty looking.

Can't speak for actually firing one though. :dunno:

Something was definitely up with that picture.

The ejection port was on the wrong side, there was no thumb safety or slide stop.

I was just talking about that one picture because I didn't even notice it the first time l looked at it. I saw it when I went back to check out the "funny ejection port and controls".

As for the gun? Never seen one.

Guys, its a standard 1911. :)

I like it, in fact. They're built in Turkey.

Yes, it was a joke (duh)

.....as the company did not notice (or care) that the promo photo for their 1911 was reversed. I hope they put more effort into the QC of their pistols!

I checked one of these Turkish 1911 clones out last fall at a fantastic gun shop in Eugene Oregon. A decent offering for the price but not made in USA.

Just razzin you Flip.:) That is a good point you make. If they don't pay any more attention to the photo on their home page, then QC could be a little scary.

I have only put about 300 rounds thru my Regent R100 but it is accurate & reliable with no issues. My old eyes just don't like GI sights so I have a Trijicon night sight up front & 10-8 NM U-notch at rear.

:dunno:

For me, they both have been great. However, RIA has a MUCH longer track record.

The Regent is a more accurate replica. By that, I mean its closer to USGI spec. That can be good or bad, depending on its intended use or your preference.
