My opinion

Went to the gun shop and compared the colt 6920 to the LMT defender 2000 and wow , In my opinion the colt just seemed better ! Really liked it a lot . The LMT was ok but I think the colt is better!

Ok. Don't think you'll find many that will argue the Colt is a hell of a gun. Anything in part you liked better? My only gripe with colt of their limited configurations. I won't own one until they offer a midlength, preferably with a lightweight barrel.

I've got a LE6920 and it has been excellent in every way. Well... other than the fact that the stock grip is way to small for my hand. A magpul miad fixed that though.

What I liked better was the colt had a fa bcg , the LMT didn't . The colt had an H - buffer , the LMT didn't . The colt's paint ( for lack of a better word ) looks better and is easier to wipe off . Colt also just felt better overall. :supergrin:

That may in fact be the case but just looking at a gun at a gun shop tells you VERY little about actual quality.

One of the reasons that RRA is so popular IMO is because their rifles always "look" really nice right off the shelf, but most of us know that they are not making a better rifle than most.

The pony is the standard.

However, having used a Colt in service, and now owning a LMT, my personal opinion is the opposite.

The LMT feels better in terms of ergonomics and is at least the equal of Colt in tightness/lockup.

I'm sure it will shoot just as nice, but I figure I'll like it better because its not stock like I left the Colt.
