View Full Version : Springfield RO question
Hi all,
I have a springfield range officer I want to use for informal bullseye matches. What are my options for mounting a red dot on this gun? It is not currently drilled or tapped. I would rather not drill it if I don't have to.
Thanks,
Darren

Does anyone have experience with this mount?
Thanks,

Be a MAN, use iron sights!
there are mounts that replace the grip, and in some cases if you are willing to use a small optic like the leupold delta, a mount that can replace the rear sight in the dovetail. Now for my opinion:
unless you have 20/100 or worse vision or are over age 65, No one should be allowed to use optics on a pistol even for bullseye.
I will continue to use irons till I can't and hopefully that will be another 20+ years. One of the key features of the SA RO over other guns is the adjustable sights, so now you want to go and bypass them first thing?
