After 14 long weeks, the Fedex man finally left me with a present this afternoon. For those that don't remember the story, I bought this pistol new from Buds a little less than a year ago. It was originally done in hard chrome, which was cool, I like hard chrome. I carried the gun for a summer, and it began to develop corrosion on the butt. After many rounds back and forth with Nighthawk, I finally sent it back after Christmas to have the entire pistol done in Diamond Black IonBond - slide, frame, barrel, small parts, everything.

I am pretty pleased with the outcome. This was by far my favorite pistol in my collection, so I feel great having it back. I also put some non-logo checkered Alumagrips on it to complete the look, which I am a big fan of.

Enough talk, on to the pictures!

I also received a set of Nighthawk Alumagrips for my Enforcer in the package (also 14 weeks in the waiting). So, while we're at it, let's look at some more pictures shall we?

Looks great and one of my favorite finishes.

Does the enforcer have relief on the front strap/trigger guard vs. The Heine?

Two fine pistols you have there.

Thanks! The cut is the same on both. Both provide a really nice grip, as for the front strap treatment, the Enforcer's checkering however is more aggressive feeling.

Ha, I wish. It's one of Nighthawk's line of "Heinie" guns that are done to his design/specs supposedly. I am really not a big fan of endorsement guns like this, but that's not why I bought it. It had/has the mix of features that I found desire able, so I went for it. That's one of the reasons though I swapped out the Heinie logo grips for plain ones, because in all seriousness it's not a true Heinie gun.

Regardless, it's really a fantastic pistol though.

Nighthawk would have redone it in hard chrome for free, under the warranty of Metaloy.
However, since I did not want it redone in hard chrome and opted to go with IonBond, it's outsourced by a different company (Springer Precision) so there was a charge associated with it. I'm okay with it, the end result is what I ultimately wanted in this pistol.
