So I've been trying to figure out what's going on with my new G26, as it shoots high and right. Doesn't matter who shoots it, left or right handed, offhand or bagged, short mags or long, it is consistently way off the bull. My G17 hits right on point of aim at this range with me shooting, and while I'm no pro shooter I am mostly proficient with the Glock trigger. Sights are stock Glock (6.5mm rear) daylight sights. Being a Canuck gun it has a longer aftermarket barrel installed (which might play into this also).

Here are a couple of typical targets from the other night. Sight picture is a 6 o'clock hold on the bull, range is 50 feet/17yds and a mix of shooters (I shoot left handed, everyone else shot right). Ammo was AE 115gr FMJ, with one mag of Remington 124gr mixed in.

So then I notice a wee wear mark on the top of the barrel (red circle), and a bit of a shiny spot on the edge right in front of it (cyan circle, but can't really see it in the pic)...

...and this corresponds with a bit of a rolled/curled edge on the inside of the slide...

Would it be possible for this little imperfection in the slide to tilt the barrel enough to move the point of impact? If so could I try to remove the ridge, or is this something that should be looked at by someone much smarter and skilled than me? Or is it a totally unrelated problem that's causing this?

Any other thoughts or analysis welcome. Thanks!

The barrel needs to be fitted to the slide. This should resolve the issue

Thanks JR! I'll see if I can track down a Glocksmith up here.

Its no big deal to fit that barrel. If possible, please give us a range report after you get it fitted.
