Ok, I have a new project I am going to get into. I am buying a RSI pressure trace system. It only works on fixed chamber guns, so I want to do some pressure testing on 9mm, 40 & 10mm loads, but don't really want to pop $200+ for new TC bbls. I did buy a 45acp bbl & will start with that, but if any of you want to let me "Borrow" a bbl for testing, I could then share data w/ the forum members. This will NOT be destructive testing. I am NOT looking to push the load envelope, just record pressure changes w/ things like primer subsitutions, bullet styles & OAL settings. This will allow everyone to actually KNOW what your loads are doing vs a WAG.:whistling: E-mail me if you want to send a bbl for testing.
thanks

Fred... I don't have a TC.. but if you get to test a 30-06 barrel, I'd be interested in knowing how 168 hpbt compares to 150 grain flat base.
Fred, I don't own a TC so I can't help you on this quest. If I did, you'd most certainly be welcome to use it.

I may have a 9 barrel you can use, how long do you need it.

So can you presure test my Solo 1000 loads with my heavy bullets?

Wait whats a TC?
Interchangably used, Thompson Center or Thompson Contender. Single shot firearms with the capability of changing calibers by changing the barrel.
One day I WILL own one, preferably with a threaded barrel..

I do have a M77 MKII in 06 I could certainly run some loads in. Keep in mind, the data will only truely be valid in my guns, but it is an experiment in pressures & the effects of swapping components & bullet seating depths. I get bored easily.

Yeah, had one for ever, but only a couple of bbls. I used to shoot met sil w/ a 7tcu & I have a 375win for hunting.

I see this all the time on different forums, (I'm banned on all of them and they won't let me post but I can read 'em)... what does bump mean?

Sorry, don't have any of the barrels you're looking for. Should be an interesting experiment. I'm pretty surprized by how much they've gone up. Selection seems a bit less than it used to be.

Way less. There are custom makers, any caliner you want, style, etc, but at $250 per, not just for casual load developement.:whistling:

Depends on if your nurse is male or female.
