G21 Gen 2.5 conversion?

JR,

Been thinking about a 10 mm or a 45 Super conversion barrel for my G21 I recently picked up, according the “Glock Serial Number Research Project” sticky in the “Valuable Info” forum I have a Gen 2.5 with finger grooves but no accessory rail, probably manufactured sometime in 1997.

Question is if the Gen 2.5 is capable of handling the conversion, I’ve read some where on the net that only Gen 3s should be converted.

Any info on this?

Your Glock pistol is guaranteed for life. I would lean towards converting a Gen3 or later but still in all.... its supposed to be guarenteed for life?
