I decided to give my new G20 a try at 50 meters last weekend (55 yards) and I was quite impressed with the results to say the least.
I did only 15 rounds at this distance (5 warm-ups and 10 for real) and got a score of 84/100 with a standard pistol target.
I had to aim an inch or two under the black bullseye to get them in the center.
My load was a 170 grains Fiocchi TMJ bullet in a Starline case with a Magtech LP primer. Powder charge was 11,0 grains of Vihta N105. COL 1,255. Don't now what velocities I'm getting, I'm guessing at least 1200 fps and probably more in the 1250 fps range. Empty cases do fly about 15 ft in my stock G20, but no pressure signs.
Next challenge is to get the 10mm out to 100 meters (110 yards).
I really like this pistol, my plan was to use it once in a while and do most shooting with my .45's, but since I have this G20 (2 months ago) I have shot well over a 1000 rounds through it. Good thing that I reload though, or I would be on water and bread for the rest of the month
