Magazine Release

I have a new G36 and noticed that the mag release button seems very hard to push. Would this be due to it being new or is there a problem with it? Thanks

Sounds like it's because it's new, my mag release is hard to push on my G36 also.

Mine is quite stiff as well. Good news is you don't drop a mag unintentionally.

In the heat of battle, you won't even notice it.!!!

What does it feel like when you push it without a magazine in place?
How about an empty mag compared to a full mag?
I always look at the fit of the release mechnism in the frame to see if there is a good fit.
Could simply need smoothing out by lightly breaking the edges of the release.
Could be a tight fit in the frame.
If it feels normal without a mag or with an empty mag it is probably the fact that a full mag has the top round pressing against the slide and making it tight, which is normal.
Try pushing up on the magazine before releasing it. Makes a big difference.

Mine feels a little hard as well, but not as hard a getting that last round in that little mag.
