Class Announcement:
JIM CREWS’ DEFENSIVE PISTOL / URBAN CARBINE COURSE

Jim Crews will present a combination Pistol/Carbine Course on April 1, 2, and 3, 2003 in Kosciusko, MS. The course will focus on heavily on marksmanship, and include weapons manipulations (reloads, malfunction clearances, etc), casualty gun handling, moving targets, and three-dimensional targets. The first two days of the class will focus on the handgun with the final day focusing on the carbine. Attendance of the handgun portion is a prerequisite for the carbine portion. Also included in this course is a module on low-light shooting during the evening of the second day.

Those attending the class will need, at minimum, 400 rounds of pistol ammunition and 200 rounds of carbine ammunition. Students will need several magazines or speedloaders for their handguns and carbines. Students are encouraged to use whatever carry system they normally use. For the night portion of the class, students will need a flashlight, preferably with a push button switch. For those agencies not using a carbine, a submachine gun can be used during the final day.

Class size will be limited to 12 students to maximize instructor interaction and slots will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. Cost for attending just the handgun portion of the class is $200. Cost for both the handgun and carbine will be $250. To reserve a slot in the class a non-refundable deposit of $100 will be required.
