Here in the Low Country we are holding the first GSSF Outdoor event just for the ladies on May 28-29. This match will operate just like a normal outdoor GSSF event (three stages) we are all accustomed too, except it is strictly for the ladies.

Prizes – Glock has authorized normal prizes (pistols & money) concurrent with the level of participation.

Armorer – Will also be available to check your firearms and answer any questions you might have during the match.

Ladies, if you’re not a member of GSSF it is required that you join (1 year $25.00). Applicable entry fees (25.00 advanced or $35.00 same day per entry) will apply also. Participants can enter into as many categories as they wish.

GLOCK’s membership website can be reached here for any registration or first time shooters questions: http://www.gssfonline.com/registration.cfm
At the bottom for the page there is also a New Shooters Brief that you can browse through to get a better understanding of our sport.

This event will take place on the B.E.L.T. Training Facility (http://belttraining.com/index2.html) in Dorchester County, SC near Reevesville, SC. The B.E.L.T. range owners James and Lisa Marie are highly qualified instructors and teach firearms skills and CWP courses. They strive to create an unforgettable training experience complete with pertinent and accurate information, in a climate controlled facility, with great food, southern hospitality and a beautiful view.

What better place to hold a GSSF match? What a better way to spend some quality time with the best folks our Low Country has to offer?

Nearest Hotel accomodations would be in St. George, SC.

Nice! I've been wanting to try a GSSF match and an all-ladies match would be even better!

Melissa- Do you plan to attend? Not certain how well-attended this will be but I plan to drive up from Florida and participate.

I expect to RO on Saturday, at least. I am also looking for two additional competitive women shooters to form an All Women Pistol Team for future Florida match(es). Alabama Holsters will likly sponser a team for one or more of those three Florida GSSF matches.

If any of you ladies are interested in participating in the match you would have to join GSSF first, which also allows a Glock pistol purchase per year at a greatly reduced price. Check out GSSF online for more info:

Also check out the GSSF thead on Glock Talk:

These matches are friendly and low-key and a great way to get into competition shooting or expand on your competition repertoire.

I've signed up for my first GSSF competition that's being held here in Northern California but it's not a Women specific comp. I would like to compete at all Women's GSSF event, that would be fun!:cheerleader:

I think the May South Carolina match is the first of its kind. Perhaps if it's succesful, Glock will entertain adding additonal Women Only matches in other parts of the country.

Probably an exercise in futility, but I thought I would bump this up to the top again as the match is this coming weekend. Like to see a few other GT women at the match and I believe they need 100 participants for Glock and GSSF to make this an annual event.

Information is posted here:

I spoke with Lisa Marie at B.E.L.T. Training a few days ago and they could still use some setup help and RO assistance.

I just spoke with Lisa Marie and she asked me to post her cell number and e-mail address as she is having some difficulty logging on to GT. She said folks are welcome to call or e-mail her for info or driving directions.

Good luck Kitty and don't be afraid to recruit a couple of ladies for an Alabama Holster Ladies Team

It was a success overall. I'm sure GLOCK will be looking at these results very closely.

Thanks for all that took the time to work sweat and attend!
