I was lucky enough to pick this up from a customer a couple weeks ago for a very nice price. It is an early serial number Predator II/Bobtail that was a two-tone (black over HC) when I got it. The original NHC black Perma-Kote was showing some wear, as well as the sights. The frame was hardchromed and looked to be in nice shape. I sent the slide and thumb safety to Chris at Metaloy. He replaced the sights and HC'd the slide.....it now looks like a new pistol. I particularly like the naked slide and the high grip cut on the frame. I have not fired it yet, but I was told by the owner it was a very reliable pistol. It is the only NHC is my collection, but it will fit in well with my other semi-custom naked slide pistols.....Real clean looking.

Nighthawk did a real nice job with it. I remember how impressed I was when it shipped to me back in 2007. I've had the gun nearly four years now.

Joe, I went with ambis on most of my 1911s back then, actually.

My Enforcer has it too. I just liked the way they looked. Nowadays, I prefer the 1911 without one.

That was my biggest concern, but Chris told me if the frame was in good shape, the color would match up well. They match perfectly. It is a testament to the hard chrome compared to the perm-kote, which looked pretty well worn on the slide. I am going to try and run some rounds through it today and see how she runs.
