I was bored so I jumped in to a new "fly fishing" hobby a few months ago.
I was looking for something cheaper than continuing w/my current gun hobby and thought this would be it.... (or so I thought... LOL!)

So I'm looking at flyfishing stillwater (lakes) and also float fishing some western rivers (green river, madison river, snake river & possibly alaska & canada some day soon

was looking at something I could throw in the trunk of the car... something like this dave scadden frameless model:

anybody have one?

im not familiar with float tubing rivers, but for smaller lakes i use an Outcast Fish Cat 4. its small and portable, but keeps you up on top of the water. so much better than the old donut type. i can cover a lot of area without much effort with fins. i also like to backpack in to remote lakes. the fish cat has detachable backpack loops and is meant to be carried on your back fully inflated.
