Should I use blue or maybe green loctite on the screw of my front sight?

Blue works fine. If you use green, you need to be specific as to the number. I think it is #609 that is low viscosity for press fit parts, and #290(?) that is OK.

clean ALL oil off parts.
I clean the slide, sight and screw with Berryman's B-12 carb cleaner and use red Locktite on the head, the threads and all faying surfaces of the sight.
It wouldn't come off even if the screw wasn't there!

+1 for Blue
I've used both blue and red, with careful attention to cleaning, as lethal tupperware points out, with complete success.
Make sure any final adjustment is a tightening adjustment.
Let sit at room temp for 24-hours and you're good to go!

Blue will work fine. Just be sure to degrease and clean well.
