If you consider HR218 a permit every state I go through. This includes every state from New York down to Fl. and through most of the south including Tennessee, Alabama,Mississippi, up to Kentucky. I probably left out some.

You must be referring to your permit and non-resident permits as "MA" does not honor any permit except Mass. I have carried in MA, NH and PA. MA on my LTC ( License to carry ), NH on NH non-resident and PA on PA non-resident

Not sure what you mean by your post.

Also, to update, this thread was not meant to include armed guards, armored car guards, peace & police officers, or folks carrying under H218.

Delaware, Maryland, Pensilvania, Ohio, Indiana, & Ilinois. Delaware just started allowing LE officers to carry US wide under the Bush HR 218 bill so my state permit is kinda worthless to me now. I'll still keep it current though.

And I forgot NV.

...I didn't even see that in there. Somehow my mind has this amazing ability to tune out questions from my wife about household chores, and to blank out stuff on gun forums about carrying + Illinois.

Without telling the entire forum you were the SEAL commander for the recent foray into Pakistan, (GNG joke about a pastor who lied of his .mil service) do you have a pistol permit?

I do. Did. Reckon I ought to check the expiration date. Permit lets me bypass NICS, creds don't. Used to be that it let me carry more out-of-state places than the badge did. Hmmm...may be overdue for buying a gun from an FFL, too.

(And the permit lets me carry when, er, IF I get suspended.)

Yep. I have/had a MA permit. $100 /yr was too frigging steep.

Armored car guards working can carry virtually everywhere they need to move money or valuables. An armored car guard from NJ can work in MA without any additional paperwork (obviously so long as his/her company is licensed in that state).

active .mil can also carry in any state on duty.

One - Texas. First time last night at Walmart. Weird, weird feeling.

Walmart is definitely a place where it is wise to carry. Plenty of crazies there. I was just there today, buying some Federal 9mm ammo, and of course I was carrying. (concealed)

As for states, just KY and IN for me. (pretty much on a daily basis in both states, because Louisville is right on the border). Unfortunately, IL and WI, where I also spend a fair amount of time, don't allow it (soon to change!!! Yay).

Prior to LEOSA: SC, GA, FL, AL, NC, VA, TN, AZ, UT, CO (before they changed non-res reciprocity), NM, TX, MA, CT, NH, ME, VT. I have permits from SC (home state), FL, NH, ME, & CT. I had a MA Non-Res Class A LTC for 3 years before they began requiring an interview in person.

Since LEOSA add NV & CA. I maintain the permits just in case.

MI, OH, WV, VA, KY, TN, NC, SC, PA, IN, MO, AR, LA, TX, that I'm aware of.

I've left the hardware at home on several vacations because we were going into National Parks so I'm extremely happy that we can now carry there.

I think everyone does the Wally World Tour first thing when they get their chl. Did it myself, as I am sure many many have as well lol.

If I cannot carry thru the state - I tend to not go to that state. Thank God every state that touches Texas is reciprocal (sp) state.
