Can you help me on some ammo choices? Thanks Mas.

I currently own a Glock 22 and Glock 36. For the 22 I am considering getting some Hornady TAP ammo and for the 36 I am thinking about using the Hornady Critical Defense. Can you suggest what you would use for each weapon? Both guns are used for home defense and CCW. My 36 is my EDC. Thanks again.

Hornady is accurate ammo with excellent quality control, and the gelatin tests look good. I haven't run across any actual shootings with it, though.

Personally, I use Winchester 127 grain Ranger-T +P+ or Speer Gold Dot 124 grain +P in my 9mms, and Winchester 230 grain Ranger-T or Federal HST 230 grain +P in my .45s.

best,
Mas

Oops, neglected to say that my personal suggestion for the Glock 22 would be a 165 grain JHP at 1140 or so FPS. Speer Gold Dot, Winchester Ranger-T, Federal HST, and Remington Golden Saber all seem to be in the same ballpark here.

That's what I get for answering questions in the wee hours of the morning. Thanks to the alert reader who caught my error and flagged me to correct it here.

Cordially,
Mas

Glocks can handle +p no problem right?
