Hey all,

I'm not a cop. I am a supporter of cops though. I am very greatful for all you do in keeping us all safe from the boneheads of our society.

That being said, would you all mind if I troll around (ok, not like the typical forum troll) and post in here from time to time, and maybe throw my $0.02 in on a discussion? I poke my head in GNG from time to time, and find the paranoia and assinine comments far outweighing common sense enough for me to avoid posting anything beyond jokes and maybe a cool picture now and then.

Of course you're welcome.

But not knowing you, I gotta make a request: Look at the stickies and old threads and take note of what sets off the alarm bells. Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest taking Sam's advice, but considering your first post, I think you'll do just fine.

I made the mistake of using cop lingo on a hunting forum I frequent. That did not go over well with the crowd over there. It seems they didn't like the term, "make him eat some pavement." LOL..

Gotta be more literary.

Then did mighty 4949 let fly his cocobolo messenger of fate;
The craven ******-nozzle looked left and right, O! Would that he could turn his life around! Alas; it was not;
To be. Eyes rolling back, the whites staring ghastly, unsighted, at the midnight sky.
Teeth clattering he fell, arms outstretched as though to embrace the Earth which gave him birth, yet finding only the wine-soaked pavement, laden with offal;
Then did he bite at it, forsworn by those known as his running buddies, unlamented but for his Mother, feeble now in her crack-fogged dotage: "He was such a good boy".

Suspect was acting belligerently and combative by flailing his arms and kicking in the air wildly while being escorted through the station booking area. Suspect then proceeded to ram his head against the doorway and fell down the stairs multiple times on his own after he broke free of my grasp.

P.S. I realize our station is only a 1-story, which makes the above all the more amazing!

My statement:

At that moment, I turned away to swat at a mosquito. when I regained a visual of this incident, the suspect was being cuffed, according to SOP.

Yeah, but then I blame the trolls, liberals, and Gollum. Otherwise if it is actual cops or cop supporters (me) there is at least a modicum of intelligence and willingness to discuss in a gentlemanly or lady-like manner.

No ex-wives to speak of. I almost got married once, but then she left because she had issues with my Mommy.

You heard me, I said Mommy....

But on a serious answer, I am a photographer, and I work in the aviation industry (for an FBO and a non-proft ministry in south-central Kentucky). I love baseball, and live and die with the Colorado Rockies. I'm a Nebraska native, and I do bleed Cornhusker red when it comes to college sports.

I'm a Glock fan. I inherited some freaking awesome firearms from my Dad. My fave of those is the Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357 mag that he had. It is a ton of fun to shoot, and has been useful to dispatch garden intruders with in the past. Although last year I loaded that 24+1 mag into my G22 and chased a rabbit around my yard. I got him eventually. Sucker was quick and camped out under a propane tank.

Oh wait, that was probably illegal wasn't it? In that case, once upon a time I wanted to be a writer...

You went to arrest someone that turns out to have been well connected.

You like to go to the airport on break to poop and watch baseball.

You once got in a pursuit with a rabbit and felt it was necessary to fire 25 rounds through the incident. However, you did eventually make a solid hit when the rabbit tried to use a propane tank as an IED?

Glad to be in the Big 10. I think our schools will have a good friendly rivalry going on. You know, the kind where you growl at each other pre game and then laugh it up with pizza and beer post game. I think they are setting up Iowa to be our new Colorado.

But still, I hated to leave the Big 12 the way we did. From what I understand, Texas and a couple other south division schools were taking all the conference money that was supposed to be spread around and Mizzou kept causing a ton of instability by threatening to leave.

Funny thing is, I've done that. Not even kidding....

That story makes me wonder. If I were to start pursuing a career in LE, would I be some sort of super cop, or like Detective Dan Stark? Either way, the job gets done. Only diference is how good the story is in the end.

Funny thing about those stupid rabbits. Back in May 2008 I finally got a Ruger 10/22. I got home from the store with it, and saw the rabbit parade. I went inside, unboxed it, loaded it, and went to rescue my yard and garden. The FIRST SHOT I ever took with that rifle, took down the enemy....

Gotta be more literary.

"Classic" doesn't hurt either...

Continuous tumult filled the hall,
A terror fell on the Danish folk.
As they heard through the wall the horrible wailing,
The groans of Grendel, the foe of God
Howling his hideous hymn of pain,
The hell-thane shrieking in sore defeat.
He was fast in the grip of Dragoon who was greatest
Of mortal men in the strength of his might,
Who would never rest while the wretch was living,
Counting his life-days a menace to man.
