So I decided to start a .308 Win black rifle build.
Will soon have a POF billet lower on the way for the start of my build.

Let's see those 308 rifles,.......I need some ideas & eye candy is always good!

My upper is still at the gunsmith so, sorry there will be no pics from me today. I had Lilja rifle barrels make up a 7mm blank and they sent it straight to the smith for fitting and chambering. Should be in hand in 10days. A 308 build should go pretty slick. Look around for the BCG you want because I had to pay JP for one of theirs since there wasn't an Armalite BCG available anywhere. Ouch! Rainier Arms was selling their 308 Ultramatch barrels with a bolt that they headspaced for a good price. That would have saved me a lot of money.

DPMS 308B with Nikon glass, I've only had it out once for the shoot-clean-repeat barrel break-in they recommend. Got a couple .75" groups with the cheapest Federal, bought a couple of boxes of their Gold Medal Match for the next trip. If the range ever dries out, Its been submerged for a month.

COOL, but I would get rid of the flip sights to short of a distance together to be useful and you can just leave the Aim Point on then you don't need a co-witness riser on it.

Yeah. Bought mine just before Christmas and really like it. Got a really good deal on it so couldn't pass. Haven't shot it a lot, but have had no issues with it.

COOL, but I would get rid of the flip sights to short of a distance together to be useful and you can just leave the Aim Point on then you don't need a co-witness riser on it.

Don't really need the backup sights but they aren't in the way, plus the Aimpoint sits at the perfect height for a correct cheek weld.
