View Full Version : New Chief Tomorrow
last chief was in office for almost 30 years.
New Chief comes to us as a former Captain at HPD (Houston Police Dept).
I've spoken to lots of Officers who worked with and for him and universally it seems he's a good guy who supports officers and wants them to actually do the job they are trained and hired to do (imagine that).
He was actually suspended recently. I'm hoping change is for the better.

Tomorrow show up at his office at 0800 with coffee and danish and introduce yourself.
Find out if his wife/daughter/girlfriend is hot, then sleep with her. That will get you promoted to Captain at least.

Evidently his Daughter was the reason he was suspended on his last job

Always a scary time fo everybody, including him. Keep us posted and be cool.

That's a story I HAVE to hear....
Evidently had something to do with daughter being arrestwd on class c misdomeaner. He interjected himself and was disciplined. Had a weeks suspension. It was looked at as interfering.

Sometimes being an officer, or chief in his case and a father may seem to conflict. It is understandable that he was wanting to help her out. Hopefully he will be a good chief for y'all.

Sometimes an officer getting a suspension is a good thing. It means they care enough to get involved in situations and that they follow their heart. As long as it doesn't happen regularly, which it sounds like it doesn't, then I can see it as a good thing.

+1
having spoken with numerous Officers and Civilian employees who worked for him, I have not found anyone who had anything really negative to say. Even the guys who typically hate and malign supervisors had decent things to say.

Working in law enforcement is kind of like a good, spirited game of basketball. If you finish the game with zero fouls, you weren't playing hard enough. If you foul out, you were probably playing too hard. If you finish with 3 or 4, you were probably playing just hard enough to make a difference but not too hard to get you or somebody else hurt.

Meh... I was hoping for something a little more exciting. :whistling:

The daughter was arrested for shoplifting at Sears and he got her released.

His 5-day suspension was overturned and he received a written reprimand instead.
