Can this be done?

Gen 4 magazine catch on a Gen 3 23. I know I would have to make a slight modification to the frame of my Gen 3 23, but if I did that, would it just be drop-in like a regular magazine catch? I don't like having to shift the gun in my hand to release the magazine. Also, I almost have a blister on my thumb from having to press so hard on the release to get the magazine out. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can file the sharp corners off of your present button for better comfort.

Try using your other thumb before you reach for the reload.
