View Full Version : Which Sight Tool for Warren Tactical?
I'm looking to replace my stock Glock 17 rear sight with a Warren Tactical. I'm looking to get a sight tool from MGW but they have 2 different types for Glock. One for straight sided and one for slanted. It looks like the stock sights are slanted and the Warrens are straight. Do I need two tools or can I get away with installing the Warrens with the slanted tool?

I knocked the rear factory sights off my pistols with a hammer and a piece of dowel rod and then push the Warrens on with the straight sided MGW sight tool. I don't have an experience trying to put Warrens on with the slanted tool.
If you think you might only do it once it's probably cheaper to have someone else do it. Lots of local shops do it cheap or for free if you buy the sights there.
You can send them here for $45.

Looks like they sell the MGW tool also for $119.95 and from the picture it looks like the straight sided one.

You don't need a tool to remove the stock sight. If you get an MGW tool to install the Warren it must be the straight-sided model.
