JR,

I read somewhere that stainless steel bore brushes are most effective at removing copper fouling inside the barrel. (Bronze brushes degrade when exposed to copper cleaning solvants) Nylon brushes are too soft.

Hoppes manufactures a "Tornado" stainless steel brush ("The Gunsmith's Brush") which "coils" the stainless steel supposedly preventing damage to the barrel.

Do you know if this brush is actually safe for use in our barrels?

Thanks

You dont need a brush to remove copper fouling. Try Sweets 7.62 Nitro Solevent. It stinks of ammonia but works EXCELLENT. Turns a white patch blue and removes the copper on contact!

Your factory barrel is WAY harder than a stainless brush. I have to ask once again.... why even use a brush? Sweets eats the copper on contact
