3rd Gen G26 XP recoil spring?

Would there be any detriment to adding an 18 lb XP Wolff recoil spring to my G26? Would it still cycle the same with any type of ammo? I'm thinking that the recoil would be a little more tame with +P rounds. I've read that others have used and liked the 18 lb springs, but I'm no expert and just want to make sure I will keep the rock solid reliability of the glock even if I replace the stock recoil springs.

Experiment with the recoil springs all you want! Match them to your loads if you like.
Ideally your looking for the brass to land 2 to 4 feet away.
If the brass is flying out there 10 feet or so, increase the power.
If the brass is rolling off your knuckles, reduce the power.
