Gratz on the new 442 and I never used Armscor ammo but nice thing about revolvers is they are not ammo picky like semi autos can be. As long as its the right caliber and does not protrude past the front of the cylinder it will fire.

Never shot Armscor but my 642 and 638 have made every round go bang, including reloads, UMC, and a bunch of other cheap-to-plink ammo.

Congrats on the new J-frame!

Preferred ammo is Independence 130gr FMJ its clean goes bang every time and is just over all very nice ammo. When I cant get a hold of that I use PMC 130gr FMJ there not as clean but they go bang ever time. I have also used Fiocchi which isn't bad but is expensive. As far as WWB, Federal and UMC go I tried them each once and found them to be lacking greatly.

As far as Amscor the company I have one of there RIA 1911 pistols and its extremely quality gun and I have heard there 22lr Match grade ammo is some of the best on the market. So if I could get Amscor ammo cheaper (33 dollars a box locally :wow: ) then I would.

Just a side note for practice go with 130gr bullets there softer shooting then the 158gr. Infact I enjoy shooting my J-Frame with 130gr ammo.

I also have an RIA 1911, and it HATED the armscor .45 i TRIED to feed it, i just set the stuff on the shelf and forgot about it, wow 33$ a box? i made out like a bandit then. Only thing i can think of about my 1911 is it didnt like the nose of the bullet as it jammed at the feed ramp, which has since been sent back and polished and had some other work done to it. Hopefully this stuff is pleasant to shoot. havent seen any pmc or or wwb for it yet, do you know if wally world has value packs of 38 spl?

Local one around me has WWB and UMC 100 round value packs. Normally around 35-38 dollars a box.

Could have been the mag also. I have a checkmate mag that works flawless with JHP and a Wilson mag that nose dives JHP. I would give them another try thought since the feed ramp is polished now it could make all the difference. My RIA came with a polish feed ramp was pretty happy about that.

yea the stock mag feeds all but the wilson doesnt seem to fit tight and "nosedived" those rounds, the chip mccormick did the same thing and their supposed to be top of the line mags, ill have to look into that other mag you were talking about, looks like ill be swingin by the local walmart  thanks for the info bud, btw do you have ne leather owb holster w/ retention that fit the 442 well? or the RIA?
