LODD: Newark (NJ) PD

An uniformed Newark PD Officer was shot and killed in an apparent "drive by" as he ordered a slice of pizza in restaurant. He was apparently working an off duty job in uniform. Two other people were also shot an wounded.

Update: It appears the officer was not the intended victim and was not working his side duty job as first reported. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A dispute between two girls hours earlier was the cause of the shooting. The intended victim was in the restaurant, but was not injured. One arrest has been made and several more are expected.
