slide locking issues

I'm sure this has been addressed, but the terms are so common that tons of stuff comes up when I search. I apologise. Anyway, the slide on my 26 locks back in place even when there isn't a mag in. I noticed that the slide release is 'up' and not down like it should be. Any ideas? thx, Jon

You installed it incorrectly. Take it back out and reinstall again. Locking block pi first, trigger pin second, make sure the spring is UNDER the locking block pin!
