Do you want free float or non free float? What's your budget?

If it's within your price range, for easy to install the Daniel Defense Omega rail seems to be one of the best. I'd check out Centurion too.

Under 200 $ and id prefer free float.

I would steer clear of YHM, the quality of those rails is really not that great. I have a DD Omega 9.0 and love it. Of course, its more than the budget you listed.

Considering your requirements, this is probably your best option. The VTAC is a great rail and is very adaptable.

There are no drop-in free float rails for under $200. Why do you want free float? Is this a precision rifle or just a defensive style carbine?

If you really want free float that's easy to install, then I recommend the DD Omega. For non free float drop-in check out the Troy MRF-DI, they should run you about $150, lock up rock solid, I highly recommend. Another good option is the KAC RAS, but only if you can find it for $150 or less, the retail price on those are absurd.

Less expensive:
DD Ez Car: rear set screws, continuous upper rail
Troy drop in battle rail: nice stylish, light quad rail, midlength and rifle length
Midwest Industries Gen 2 drop-in: light, continuous upper rail, midlength an rifle length

More expensive:
Vltor Casv
DD Omega

YHM is good to go, I have some and they are good quality but I got them second hand 3 years ago on the cheap. It's good but for the price new you can get a MidWest Industries 2 Pc. Lightweight railed handguards for almost the same price as YHM's. Daniel Defense is too expensive for what you actually get. Just my opinion.

I agree that new KAC prices are too high, and I thought DD was over-priced as well, but I have been looking to try one and the EZ CAR can actually be had for about the same as other Troy, MI, YHM I have bought, for as low as $135.

I don't have any problems with the KAC,Troy,MI, and YHM rails I have, but I like to try a variety of brands.

If you have a carbine length gas system with FSB, this is a great deal. It says they're expected back in stock 6/1.

Sorry, just realized that's the Omega X. Not drop in.

Troy drop in works great for me.

Agree, but I would like to point the OP to the VLTOR Store website. Check out the CAS handguards that bear the X. They are also FF, 2 pieces, a breeze to install, and are less than $200. All meet your requirements. The X CAS handguards leave out most of the rail pieces that you might not want, but still offer continuous top rail and one rail piece for your VFG attachment.
