Has there been any progress on WI CCW?

I think I read that it died in Illinois.

Any updates?

The "current" CCW bill for IL, died.

Illinois came closer than it ever has, falling just short..... That's where the lawsuits came from..

WI is still a work in progress... It should pass though...

Wouldn't count on constitutional carry this time around.
http://www.wisn.com/video/28060802/detail.html the ccw part starts about 7:15 ,Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says he's fine with constitutional carry, but the caucus will probably pass a bill with some kind of permit system.

You can tell anti's know they are losing this one no matter what, and their only goal is to minimize the loss... I like when they are clearly against lawful carry, yet they try to portray themselves as not having a problem with it, so long as there's licensing, training, etc..

It sounds like a permit with training is what Walker is willing to sign. If that is the case take what you can get because it is 100% better than what you have now. Hopefully, WI will recongnize all other states ccw's.

I'm fine with the permit. What some people here in WI don't seem to understand is that most non-gun people and some gun people here in the state don't want Constituional carry, and do want some type of permit/training system if we are going to have ccw. If we do try to ram that through I am afraid of a backlash where we my end up handing power back to the dems and end up with nothing. Go for a shall issue permit system now, and go for the constituional carry later if need be.

I dunno, just from what I've read, I think a hybrid law "has a chance".. but... I think they're gonna end up w/ a decent CCW law... I hope there's no training requirement. There is no way, Walker is going to veto any CCW bill that comes across his desk. Not with the recall election coming up, etc. He needs every possible conservative vote he can get...

I think the current bill says WI will recognize all other state carry permits.
