View Full Version : new Mepros shooting high with 147 gr.

I put a new set of Meprolight night sights on a Glock 19 and the gun shoots high with 147 gr. (mm ammo.
It shoots dead on with 124 Plus P Gold Dots, however I have quite alot of HST 147 and I like the heavier bullet. What can I do? Are there different size Mepro front sights?

The markings on my front sight is, "MH3" .

I believe MH3 means "Meprolight Tritium".

Heavier bullets "usually" have a higher POI than standard weight bullets. In my G22 the 180gr hit a little higher than the 165gr or lighter bullets.

Ds anyone know if Meprolight makes different size front night sights?

Every set of Meprolight night sights that I have installed, have raised the POI from the stock sights. The Mep rear sights are much taller than the stock ones, and will raise POI a few inches at 25 yards.

Let's be clear, so as not to create any confusion. The point of impact (POI) hasn't changed (unless you're shooting at very long distances), the point of aim (POA) has changed with the new sights.

I am not following you here. If you must change your POA to acheive the same POI, with a different set of sights, than common sense would dictate, that POI is different between the two sets of sights, all things being equal.
