View Full Version : Nighthawk Falcon
My dealer just got one of these in yesterday. I checked it out today when I picked up my Ruger.
Not all of it is to my taste, but Nighthawk's quality is outstanding, in my opinion.

They also got the Heinie Tactical Carry. It also looks and feels great, but the only Heinie 1911 I'd buy is one built by Richard Heinie. I never understood that stuff. I always liked the Vickers Tactical Nighthawk, but never considered it until it changed to the Enforcer.

I saw one of these on Sat at my dealer as well. Except for the top serrations, I do like it. I also like the way the front portion of the slide looks.

I have always liked the Heinie NH. Very good looking pistol.

It is a great looking 1911, Paul. Its just weird to have a Heinie gun that's not the real deal. At least, that's my opinion. :dunno:

Agreed, but what's the cost of a Heinie? Honestly, I doubt I would spend the money on the NH. There are other guns I like better in that price range, but that's one of the better looking NHs in my opinion.

Nighthawks are pretty sweet. I wish my dealer stocked more high-end 1911s, if only for fondling purposes.

The Falcon is nice, but I like your Enforcer way better Brian.

$2,900.00 + Should work real well from the first round for that kind of money. I hope ?
Another ode to the Ruger P-Series?
I'm glad Ruger's SR1911 didn't go that route, as they have the provenance for it.
I like the original lines of the 1911 better.

I'm actually not even sure, but the Nighthawk version would be over $4K OTD.
That's too much for a semi-custom, in my opinion.

Thanks Cody.
I definitely like the Enforcer better also. :)

It has just about every feature that I like in a 1911. With a naked slide in hardchrome, it's right up my alley.
Seriously Brian, that's sweet. I've considered a Nighthawk, but the Monolith has been on my radar screen for quite some time.

I was thinking the same thing, naked slide. Maybe a black set of alumagrips too.
That's just too much money for what it is.

You seem to know an awful lot about the Penguin. Did he emory cloth your slide?
What did you think about the finish on the Falcon? As I understand it, this pistol is supposed to have NH's new Black Nitride (Melonite) finish (also available as a no-charge option instead of Permakote on other pistols).
I am a big fan of high power/carry cuts, and the one-piece tool steel magwell/MSH is kind of cool - but honestly I hate the rollmarks (which could be deleted, I know), and for a pistol like this I much prefer how Wilson executes the cuts/looks of it.
I agree, I don't like "names" associated with pistols unless it's of the actual smith that built it, but that didn't stop me from buying my Heinie Tactical Carry. I really like the collection of features on this gun, and the Heinie magwell is sweet. I changed out the 'H' logo grips on mine to basic alumagrips to at least get rid of one set of logos.
Over $4k is ridiculous though. I picked mine up for about mid $3s over a year ago. It's a fantastic pistol, but for over $4k there are probably better ones to be had.
Obligatory pics...

Over $4k? :faint:
Once you hit that kind of coin, I'd plunk down a little more and get an Heirloom.
I actually just worked a deal for a new Hardchrome Heinie Tactical Carry today. Interested to see this pistol. It has some very nice features. It was a two tone pistol, but I am having the slide Hardchromed before it ships. I am also looking to have the ambi-safety changed out for a single sided safety. I am getting into in "real good".....:)

After talking to Gary at Nighthawk, I had already decided to make NH my next purchase. Seem like stand-up guys to deal with and after recent posts of problems with some of the other options, NH it is. You guys are just throwing gas on the fire!!!! Dave good luck with yours!!!!
