So I joined the club!! After a little range session I got a few bugs worked out. The gun was BONE dry from hanging on a wall in my LGS, so a little oil smoothed it out. I was having issues with the trigger resetting. A touch of oil, and having the gun folded in half and manually resetting and pulling the trigger she is cycling just fine. Best thing I can think of to fix it is to SHOOT IT!!!!

Price for the MOE stood at $970, and I bought a soft bag and a 500 round box of Brown Bear .223. The ammo was $120 per 500rnd cube. Good price? I was told that the shops cost on the gun was changing by his next order and If I wanted it I had better jump on it now. The next batch he was ordering was going to be $150 more. I had to laugh because there was a guy in behind me eyeballing me while he was putting his deposit on his more expensive MOE. Haha. Good timing.

Then a buddy showed up with his Tec9. Awesome! Bought by his father preban, and has been stored ever since. We yanked it apart, clean and oiled it, then shot the crap out of that too.

You really did get a good deal. Congrats. I just got the carry handled M&P 15 non MOE version. I'm decorating it with MOE parts and will have a dark earth version once complete. My wife is actually excited about getting to shoot it!

Decent deal on a good gun, enjoy it.(now $1120 that the guy behind paid is way to much) $120 for the ammo is pretty good depending on your local taxes. Online you can usually find it for $100-$110 per 500 plus shipping. Shipping on ammo isn't cheap, mine is $10-$15 depending on where it's coming from.

Read closely. The OP got brown bear. It is all over the place for that much. I typically get it for .20 per round delivered.

Yah Im assume Brown Bear isnt the most quality stuff. Although I experienced no failure to feed or anything like that with it. So for the price Ill keep buying it for plinking. I think with tax I'm getting the Brown Bear in the area of .24-.25/rnd. When the times come to buy more I might look to the internet for some other options and lower prices (shipped). I actually have a couple other local options to look at also.

sgammo.com has Brown Bear and Silver Bear for $102 and $109/500 + shipping.

I have some Silver Bear but I haven't shot it yet. I don't expect any problems as I've run Tula through my M&P 15 before without issue.

Brown Bear is fine for plinking. It's steel ammo so of course it's not high end stuff but it's good enough for punching holes in paper as long as your not looking for high accuracy.

Welcome to the sickness. Now time for an optic to got on target even faster! I picked up a budget red dot for my AR and life at the range is 100 times better!!!

But then again I have older eyes so I kinda need a red dot now lol.
