Anyone own/shot both? I would put my Legacy in the same class as my Wilson, Guncrafter and Baer 1911's. It's very smooth, very well fit, great shooter and extremely reliable. It was STI's best or their best. Which says quite a bit. Have my name on a SA Pro due to land this fall. Just wondering how much difference there is between the two.

the Pro is built like a TGO-1, so Brian can give you some input on them both.

Yeah, I can't imagine a bunch of guys will own or have shot both. All 3 are pretty uncommon pistols and the odds of someone having a Pro/TGO1 and a Legacy are pretty slim I would think. Come to think of it, the only 2 Legacys I've ever seen are yours and Brian's.

Joe, I don't own a Pro yet, but the Legacy isn't quite the gun that my TGO1 is.

I'm just trying to talk myself out of a Pro. :rofl:I will say that my Legacy is as smooth and as good a shooter as any of my semi-customs. Really nice gun. It's a shame more people on here haven't had any experience with the Legacy. It's a very impressive 1911 IMO.

Good thinking. Send yours over to me and I will be sure to let Quack, Knedrgr, Lawdog, and Craig19 get some time with it as well.

Well, I would, but you guys would end up sending it back with a flat trigger.

Joe, no doubt the Legacy is an awesome 1911. :)

It is a damn shame they aren't more available so people could own them.

That still is easily the best looking heater out of that fine Tejas establishment. Can't believe they axed them. :crying:

Yeah, its really the only STI that I think looks good.

STI's are great 1911s, but aesthetics was never their strong suit.

I remember how happy I was when you got yours, Joe.

I believe I remember posting that link to the GB auction. I haven't been looking everyday, but I haven't seen another on GB since. :dunno:

I can definately see owning one at some point, those more rare/discontinued/unique 1911s really call to me. :dunno:

It's not just the rare/discontinued thing. The Legacy is a real shooter. Slide feels like it's on greased ball bearings. Very nice.

Probably out of my price range, would have been awesome to pick one up a few years back.

I know someone that has some Pro's on order that could get in as soon as October. I know at least one that is spoken for. If those have consec numbers, you won't have any choice Joe...:tongueout:
