Just had 3 1911s stolen this morning.:crying: One was a Colt 1991 I had modified a little, 1 was a ACII with a seriel # below 80, the last was a highly modified GSG 1911 .22. Makes me sick to my stomach that someone could steal from someone else. I had just told one of my sons that his son got the Colt when I'm gone. I had the #'s on the guns so the police officer said I stood a good chance that I might get them back. All 3 were in condition 1 so if some fool shoots himself do I get sued? I could care less if the guy who stole them blew his brains out but a kid would really suck. I'm so :steamed::steamed: right now and kinda in shock. Hope it never happens to any of ya'll.

My youngest son 21 came over at 7:30 this morning to go shooting. When we go we usually take all sorts of weapons. ARs, .357, .38, .45s .22s .204, 22-250, 308 ect.... He pulled his forerunner in my wifes place in the driveway as she had gone to the store. It took maybe 10 minutes to load the truck and we were in and out of the house. I guess someone saw us as there were plenty of guns, rests and range bags to load. I had put those 3 in my old USMC pack issued to me in 74. Why they grabbed that I don't know as it was closed and you couldn't see in it. We were never in the house more than a minute or two. We left the house at 7:50 and my wife got home before 8:00.:steamed::steamed:

unsecured guns are for the taking....

Only for *********s with sticky fingers that can't work hard to buy their own... Sounds like you might fit into that group with your mentality...

my bet is that it was a neighbor or neighborhood kid that just did it at the spur of the moment. They will end up ina a local pawn shop soon, or at a flea market.

Sorry to hear this man. It actually made my stomach turn a little, especially when you posted the photos. I know this probably won't help, but im sure there are 100 things that make you more happy than those 1911's. Good luck and i hope they find your stolen propery.

Thanks guys for the support. My wife said a prayer that the police find them before I do. Gotten older and don't think I'm that way anymore but she says I'm still foolish and meaner than hell when my stuff or the family is threatened. She says I'm still in the Corps. HaHa.

Sorry to hear.

If this is a normal routine when you go shooting with your son I would consider your neighbors as suspects.

Offer a reward, no questions asked.

I don't know how close you are with neighbors but mention the sentimental value that you had for those particular guns. Maybe someone will feel bad and the bag will mysteriously end up on your steps.

That really sucks to have something of yours stolen.

What the OP does on his own private property with his firearms is irrelevant. How is this any different if a thief broke into his home while he was out and took the guns? I drop my daughter off at school daily and lock my 1911 up in a lockbox in my car because I can not legally carry on school grounds. If someone breaks into my car, steals the lockbox, gets my gun and does whatever.....you are saying that it's my fault?

AWESOME!

They realized they weren't Glocks or Hi-Points and quickly found out they were stupid, heavy, old-fashioned, 100 year old designed, low capacity 1911s.

Great news. Glad to hear your babies are home.

I hate to hear that. I had my first GP100, an old Model 94 .30-30 and a Model 70 7mm Rem Mag with a BOSS stolen once. I'd rain hell on that/those bastards to this very day if I found them. There's a special place in hell for thieves. Hope you get them back, but the police didn't do a damn thing for me. They do however, call me once a year to ask if I have "found" my GP100 though. All that does is remind me of how pissed off I am about the whole thing. Bought a new GP100 to replace the other. Went with a Marlin to replace the M94, as the prices had gone crazy with the 94's. And Since they quit making the M70 BOSS model's, I was just SOL on that one. An equal Browning is at least 50% more in cost. And that was a tack drivin' MOFO too. :crying:

Thanks man. Yea I saw on TOS a guy posted about the GSG's that all looked the same in the pic thread. I changed that. I'm learning to work on 1911's and this seemed like a good one to practice on. Learned a ton from the great people on this site. Some real good fellows here. Glad I can be a part of it.
