I want.
An interesting and unique design, but what's with the finish?

Not sure but the first 10 will be going to events. If you look at his site it says they will be making a "working" version and to contact him to get on the list. I already sent him an e-mail to ask how much the "working" version will be and to get on the list because I want. I would like a more simple finish and grip design and as long as the price is not outrageous, I'll have one.
I love looking at other people's knives, but I prefer making (assembling) my own fixed blades.

Interesting,......but I want a knife to be a knife. Not a multi-tool storage facility.
Multi-anything is always a compromise,.........never for the better.
Thats a very innovative knife... Wouldnt mind owning it.
That's pretty cool. Shows some imagination doesn't it?
I would question the strength of the hilt, or lack of going into the handle.
The age old question...
What is a survival knife?
It is the knife you have on you when you need it.
I like it and I am yet to own a 1911... YET.
That's an awesome knife, but a tad big for my taste:supergrin:

My EDC knife is a Kershaw Leek. I have lots of larger survival knives but I'm interested in this knife for its uniqueness at a collector stand point rather than an actual survival/working knife. If the price is ridiculous I'll pass on it but its really the only other true 1911 knife I've seen. The other being a simple folder where you can change out the grips with actual 1911 grips: http://ultimate-equipmentstore.com/

I was at Wally World picking up some ammo yesterday and noticed a few different models of this series hanging on the pegs.

Oh hell. That's not a knife. This is my everyday carry... It gets a little bulky, though....:rofl:

Wilson Tactical made Bowie knife
I am not very knife savvy but this thing is a hunk of steel that is sharp, as in "oh my new knife arrived in the mail, let me check it out......ouch!.......damn that hurt...." sharp :rofl:
But my EDC is one of these Al Mar knives, the Wilson is a wee bit too big, even in Texas :)

If it wasn't for that lock/unlock mechanism, I would seriously consider getting one. Not a fan of that. Just asking to slice yourself. Well, that and the sketchy Ohio laws when it comes to carrying a blade. That one is a little long.

As crazy as the size is, you could easily carry it in a pocket clipped to your pants. While drawing it out the tab on top of the blade catches on the pocket's edge and whips that blade out lightening fast locking it open. I have large hands and I can easily wrap both around the handle. On top of all that, this thing comes razor sharp.
