View Full Version : 5.11 Double Duty TDU Belt- Any good?
Anyone have any experience with this belt? Will it hold a pistol close to the body without sagging? Im looking for a wilderness tactical type belt that is a little less expensive since i wouldnt be using it too often. I already have a good gun belt, just looking for a back up.
These belts are OK. But I wouldn't wanna use it as an everyday carry type belt. At least when I carry a heavier or larger gun. Which is always. My 2.5 pound CZ didn't work well with that belt.
I don't have experience with this specific belt but have one of their 1.5" trainer belts that hasn't held up that great. I bought it for the same reason you listed, it was cheaper. If I had to do it again I'd go for the Wilderness. Remember the old saying, "only cry once"? This is a good example.
Good luck! ---Velo
when you consider that the Wilderness belts last, and perform, better than other belts, they are a bargain, IME. I have two right now, but have used the 5 stitch for about 12 years. Got a belt that works, and went on with life. You will spend the $20 diference in price of a lesser belt in effort looking to find a cheaper option. get the wildreness, and do not look back.
I have a 511 operators belt that has held up well to about a year of daily wear. But I am really looking at wilderness now so who knows.
Just get a Wilderness.
I have owned a 5.11 Operator belt for about 5 years and have used it to carry my G22,G27,kimber, and .357 Rossi and I love it.
I have the 1.75" 5.11 belt with the internal stiffener and it is great. Only problem is for my work I sometimes have to open carry in dress clothes and it looks stupid.
I use a Beltman for dress and the 5.11 for CCW.
The belt fits the slots tight and can support a lot of crap such as Gun, two mags, cuffs, etc...
