View Full Version : Got a new optic for my LWRC.......

At first, I was only looking for an optic for my LWRC M6-SPR, because the EOTech placeholder on it just didn't feel right.

So long story short, I ended up buying a Trijicon ACOG TA31ECOS-G and put it on my M6A2 DEA, and moved the TA01NSN ACOG from the M6A2, and put the TA01NSN ACOG on the SPR.

I must say, that this optic is beautiful. Crystal clear glass, on both the ACOG and the RMR, and the reticle is a lot brighter than your regular red illuminated ones; this one in particular is a green illuminated crosshair, with BDC out to 1000m, not that my rifle would ever be able to hit anything that far out, but hell, it is what it is.

I love the 4 MOA red dot on the RMR- perfect to pick up, but not so big as to not be usable at longer ranges. I'm gonna take it out this weekend and zero both of them.

Nince looking setup. RMR+ACOG combo is interesting. Price is certainly a heart stopper but you are certainly getting a lot for that dough.

Price is a heart-stopper, but your getting back-up Iron Sights on the ACOG, a RMR, and 4x magnified optics that can be used like a red-dot at close range due to the BAC. The thing is fail-proof to such an extent, its excessive; but at least if SHTF, I can count on being able to aim with the TA31 ECOS, whether its with the ACOG, the RMR, or the Iron Sights mounted on it. LOL.

You can get them for a good price if you shop around. I got mine for about $350 less than most places sell it for.

We have the same tastes in rifles/accessories. You, obviously, actually have the money to act on those tastes.

It will be short-lived. I just got back from Afghanistan.

Nice rifle. I have a BCM 14.5" with a Trijicon ACOG TA31F with Trijicon RMR on top.

Ok, been playing with this since FedEx dropped it off 3 hours ago.....this thing is truly amazing! As for the people who complain the RMR involves taking your face off the stock to use, it doesn't really for me.

I just slide my face up about 1 inch and BOOM, bright red 4 MOA dot is there. I love how you dont have to turn the RMR on. According to Trijicon, the battery lasts for a year. Also talked to them today, and my ACOG was manufactured in May of this year! Woohoo! Its fresh from the factory!

In other news, I am selling my TA01NSN in the Buy and Sell forum here on GT.

Purchased 2 weeks ago; manufactured in May 2011 as well. Only mounted to my DEA, never been on a gun and fired. Comes with everything. Not a single mark on it.

Which reticle does that have?

This isn't my pic, but it has crosshairs with stadia lines out to 1000m. My illumination is green.

Christ, you're talking about the exact same model I'm wanting. Right down to the reticle.

Thanks for all the comments, guys. I appreciate it. For those who are contemplating one of these setups, if you got the $$, I say go for it. Its truly the best of everything wrapped up into one little package.

Not to pry, but a link to where you purchased it would be nice. I might get all stupid and just do the deed.

These guys are GREAT! They even filled out the warranty card and mailed it to Trijicon before they sent me the ACOG, and put a little card in the box telling me they did so.

Their optics are all untouched, and fresh out of the box. No display models, etc.

Great guys; they are a small business in Oregon. Highly recommended! I'm about to purchase a TA11 w/ Horseshoe reticle from them on Monday, as I'm selling my TA01NSN. I much prefer the dual-illuminated ACOGs.
