View Full Version : Will a Glock 36 fit holsters made for a Glock 19?
Just as the title asked, will the G36 fit a G19 holster? Are there fit issues?
My 36 fits in the MS SS II for my 19. It doesn't have the same "click" as it is reholstered, but it works. It also fits in the kholster. But it doesn't fit well in the MS VM II.
If you already have some 19 holsters, try it. Otherwise, if you are buying a new holster, just get it for the 36.
It probably depends upon the design of the holster. Every holster I've had for my G36 or G23 have worked for both guns except a Safariland 6378.
My G19 fits the same holsters as my G30. It doesn't lock in as tight as the 30 but works quite well. I know you asked a bout a 36 but slide width and length are about the same size as the G30 so I'd bet it will work.
The mags are a different story. I do make mag pouches to fit the G36.
I have a Crossbreed Supertuck for my Glock 19 and my model 36 fits in it pretty well. Not perfect mind you but good enough. However,I`m so particular about things like that I`m afraid "pretty well" just don`t cut it.My new Crossbreed for my 36 was shipped yesterday. I could have easily gotten by with the model 19 holster but that`s just me.
I'm not sure about your particular fit, but what I personally do in a lot of instances is go to the manufacturers web site and do a holster search by gun model. This way I can see if what I have matches what I'm going to buy. As an example, I had a G23 and Galco holster for it. I decided my next purchase was going to be a G26, and when I looked at Galco's website, I found that the holster I already had was a perfect match.
