Hi, Mas:

I am considering using Winchester's Ranger t series 165gr. for home defense .
Has this ammo performed well in the streets in regards (with proper shot placement) to incapacitating a BG?
Does this ammo penetrate deeply enough(12inches or more)?

Are you personally aware of any shootings involving this round?

Time to grab a cup of Java--Thank-You for your input.

Semper Fi!

Mike, the Nashvill Metro PD reported great satisfaction with the performance of the 165 grain (at about 1140 fps) Ranger in their Glock 22s for several years. They subsequently switched to Gold Dot at the same weight and velocity (a bidding or availability thing, I believe) and have been just as happy with that.

best,
Mas

Mas :Thanks for your input.
This ammo is being shot out of a 3.9 inch barrel(Sig 220) and I am told it would have a velocity of 1120fps. Having read a prior post where you liked this weight round at aprox. 1140 fps would this hurt its incapcatation factor?
Time for another cup of Java---Thank-You very much Mas
