Just picked these up today. Definitely won't replace your favorite $60 light, but the price is right for backups. Seem sturdy, bright, has low/high/strobe settings, and includes batteries.

How do they compare in brightness to say an average streamlight or surefire?

Can you do some photos showing brightness on a wall. Maybe photos of some other lights you have for comparison. I see it says 150 lumens but from my understanding that is a pretty subjective measurement left up to the manufacturer.

I couldn't resist that package either. The price is unbelieveable.....with batteries & lanyards too.

They're as bright as they say they are - I compared the beam to an Inova Tactical 165 Lumen & I couldn't tell the difference in brightness. The beam isn't quite as smooth & I don't care for the switch operation, but, as you said, for backup, they're perfect.

Whats the quality like? I picked up a multi pack of lights like that at Home Depot they lasted about 6months before they started having issues.

I don't have any other lights to compare to.

I'll try and get some shots taken tonight.

Quality on these seems good, but only time will tell how they hold up. Good thing is they are from Costco, so if they start having issues they can be returned for a full refund at any time.

Do these operate by a push button on the rear?

push rear, low>high>strobe>(push and hold) momentary on. great general use lights. i got them a few weeks ago when there was a $5 off coupon. i also have the previous generation. improvements include smaller size and smooth reflector instead of orange peel type. feature i wish they included from the previous was the clear push button that blinks red when the batteries are low. this new one's push button is all black. the old generation also had a focusable beam but was relatively useless.

I spotted these at Costco but wanted to wait for a review as I always end up picking up "good deals" that often time end up being duds.

Thanks for the review

I also purchased a set of these about a year ago from Costco. Very bright beam and extremely durable.

I put one in my car when I first bought the set and it's held up very well. Haven't had to change the batteries yet either.

A buddy tried them and the batteries died in about 5 minutes right in front of me. I'll stick to Surefire.

I picked up a set of these lights about 6 months ago. So far they have been great. I have one in each of my vehicles and one in the house. You can't beat these for $20.

Picked up another pack today.
Here are some pics of the low/high beam. These were taken in complete darkness with a camera phone.

Is there a major advantage to Costco vs Sam's? I suppose I need to join one to stock up on stuff.

Doesn't look like complete darkness to me :whistling:

in houston it costs $40 for sams club membership, $50 for costco. sams has the advantage as far as # of locations but costco has better produce and warranty/return policy. think of costco akin to a wholesale target.

Thanks. I might stop by the local one today and check it out.
