Have a 2001 Dodge 2500 Pick-up. The driver's door has 2 open slots accross the bottom of the door. Thinking of placing a holster into one of these slots. Wondering if anyone has ever done something like this and which holsters they have used? Will be carrying a Glock 20 or a Glock 17.

I have seen several old Fobus or Ctac holsters rigged up underneath office desks or vehicle seats. Pick one up and grab a drill and a few screws, just use your imagination.

careful with a G20 in the door...if it went off it would flip your truck over!

I have an old G22 police trade-in. I drop it in the door pocket of my suburban without a holster or anything. Glocks are tough...and look better when they appear used.

I used to have an old fobus belt holster that I hacked off the belt mount and mounted under the dash board. Worked great. I was concerned with the idea of someone behind me seeing the gun when I opened the door or seeing it while looking through a window, so I didn't want to do the door pocket thing. Plus I am right handed. I had it placed on the far right with the grip pointing to the driver door so I could put there for long drives and still have access when exiting the vehicle. You absolutely couldn't see it from out side the car and it made long drives so much nicer. Might be something to look into.
