Kimber Rimfire Target .22 on a Taurus frame (w/ new internals). Runs great and is just as accurate as I am.

I keep going back and forth on what to do in this department...
A) Buy a GSG dedicated 22LR pistol
B) Buy a Marvel upper and use it on my Nighthawk pistols
C) Buy a Rock Island (or similar) and a Marvel upper
D) Build a dedicated 22 pistol with unique parts and a Marvel upper.
Baaah! Too many choices... I'll end up spending money on something else stupid before I do this though.
B then D
D is on my long "to-do" list, but have other things that I want/need to do first.

If you don't mind me asking...what does something like that cost?? At a recent demo day, I feel in love with the grip and feel of the 1911.....however did not fall in love with the thought of .45 prices and and 1911 prices themselves....I am relatively new to 1911's and welcome all info/suggestions.
The GSG is less than $400 and is a complete gun.
The conversion that I have was $325, then whatever frame that you put it on.

What price range are you looking at? Plenty of good entry level 1911's at good prices.

My local Gun store has these and I've been looking to get a new 22, how's it been for you, reliable, accurate? Thanks.

I like my GSG, I have ~200 rounds through it. I know, it's not much...but I can't stop shooting the EMP. So far though, my GSG has been 100% reliable with Federal, Remington, and CCI.

I've loved mine. It shoots any type of ammo I've fed it. 3,000rds. at least. Just keep it oiled up and fire away. Mine was 323.00 otd. The next step is to duracoat it. Not real accurate, not bad but I'm not the best pistol shot. Just a good fun plinker and a lot cheaper to shoot than my .45's.

I just ordered the Sig 1911-22 version of the GSG. I know its the same gun but with Sig's label. My LGS is direct with Sig and I got a really good $. I was thinking I had read somewhere that the new GSG's were having some issues and I figured I'd rather deal with Sig for CS. I shot one of these when I was at the range with my Ruger 1911 for the first time and shot them back to back.
I was thinking that shooting the 22 was good, cheap practice. More later when she arrives. Don, loving you WC set-up!!!

Went to get the Sig 1911/22 and the Shop got this at the same time. They were the same price. Not depending on this for SD, just a range toy so I didn't mind taking a chance on the reliability. Seems smooth and solid so far. I'll report back after a range trip. LGS said they wouldn't have a problem with cust service (warranty) on this gun so I figured, Why not???
