Hi Mas,

How much of a difference does it make between the two for general self defense purposes?

What are the advantages and disadvantages the each design?

The bullet's core being bonded to its jacket is intended to keep the projectile in one piece, promoting penetration and reducing the likelihood of fragmentation.

Good news is that it tends to do that, particularly when intermediate barriers are encountered. Downside is that bonded bullets may not expand as much as non-bonded assuming otherwise-same shape, weight, and velocity.

best,
Mas
