Is there a conversion barrel to go to 9 mm. I realize that Glock 9 mm mags will be needed.

Please advise if the conversion is possible. Assuming that the conversion can be done I would like an experience report.

Thanks

Sure. Lone Wolf, KKM, others. You could check sites like Lone Wolf Distributors.

I have a conversion barrel for my G22, but I haven't used it.

I have a 22 cal conversion for my Glock 22, 40 cal. I have heard they also have 9mm conversions available.

Sure no problem I have a KKM 9mm conversion on my G24. I also change out the Spring Loaded Bearing, and ejector. I don't remember if I changed out the extractor or not.

I have a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel in my gen 3 G-22. Nothing else changed except for the mags and works perfectly!

But there must be a reason for Glock to use those 3 different part numbers for the G22 and G17.

^^^^^^^^^ Concur with Tom

I even went out and bought a bunch of 9mm mags initially.

Sold them when I learned that 40 cal mags work perfectly.

*caveat - a 40 cal mag fully loaded with 9mm might spit out a few rounds if you throw it on the ground, but mine have retained all rounds in normal use. i.e. going from mag pouch to magwell and firing without issue

Granted a lot of things will work. It all depends on what you want to use it for. I use mine for competition.
