This is non-Glock or even non-pistol related.

It is about trying to do another add-on to a tricked out Mossberg shotgun.

Has anyone ever tried buying any of those remote cables with pressure pad activation on the ends and shortening them?

Referring to cheap(er) lasers like this -->

http://www.aimshot-sales.com/Green%20Lasers.asp (or)

http://www.opticsplanet.net/aimshot-curly-and-straight-cords-with-momentary-pad-for-aimshot-green-laser-sights.html

To make this work without all the cable clutter, I need a straight cord that is exactly 2.75-3 inches.

Seems to me if a person had soldering skills and heat shrink tubes http://www.buyheatshrink.com (http://www.buyheatshrink.com/)this could be done neatly and easily.

Sometimes though..... you get into low voltage electronic cabling like these have, and there is coax cable, misc. shielding, etc that may make this non functional.

I can most likely find an electronics repair place locally if I discover there is a prayer this will work.

Any comments are much appreciated and I would really prefer a place that already makes short length pad switches (or) sells custom small jobs like this.
