Attempted Robbery stopped by Armed Citizen in Detroit. (http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/local/attempted-barber-shop-robbery-turns-deadly-in-detroit-20110708-wpms)

Two thugs with a gun try to rob a barber shop. A guy getting his haircut shoots and kills one thug.

Pretty much textbook.

This sorta stuff keeps up, the world will be a better place. Might be a few less Obama supporters, but that's a risk we'll have to take.

"He was currently out on parole for an armed robbery conviction."

Textbook indeed. The legal system lets a convicted felon on the street, and it's up to the citizens to protect themselves.

Awesome! Those are the kinds of headlines we need to change the view in America of armed citizens!

Yeah, but its a semi-automatic magazine not a automatic clip, and to bad he missed the other piece of trash.

That's when the customer in the chair opened fire and emptied his automatic clip containing multiple rounds.

Well, that saved taxpayer dollars. People should be happy about that.

But he was just about to turn his life around, right after he stole enough money to pay for his rehab.

Good on him. I often wondered how I would handle something like that sitting in a barbers chair getting my monthly haircut...

Never. In Michigan we have a "stand your ground" law and civil immunity for self defense if it is justified.

I wonder if he fired through his smock or moved it aside? I would have shot right threw it, so they never saw it coming.

Don't be to hard on the reporter in this story.
I've met him a few times through the years and he's not one of the typical anti-gunner reporters.

Could this be life imitating art?
This is right out of the Clint Eastwood movie "High Plains Drifter".

The B/G's sure were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I hope they get the "survivor" before has time to re-group.

Same here. The barber smock does provide good cover. I can draw mine easily under it if I was in the same situation.

I call clips bullet bling-bling, I call magazines ammo apartments, & I call cylinders rolly-roundy boom-booms.

Ahh, justice is served. Back in the old days the barber was the dentist and undertaker too, so them gold front toofers would have to come out to pay for the burial.

A man in a chair getting a cut took advantage of pulling his gun under the cover of the smock.

Hey guys, here's a hint: pointing it out every time somebody says "clip" instead of "magazine," especially when it's somebody who makes no claim to being a shooter, like a reporter, makes you seem like a firearms newb more than the person who said "clip." It's like a 12-year-old who just learned something new is pointing it out to everybody at every opportunity, not realizing it is so obvious to everyone else that he is just showing how new it is to him.
