Will a G17 frame function without failure if I use a G35 slide assy on it?

I have a brand new Glock17 frame. May I know if this will function flawlessly without parts or material failure if I fire cal.40 rounds though it using either an attached Glock35 slide assembly? I know for sure that the G35 fits the G17s rails. I'm more concerned with the structural integrity of the frame if thousands of cal.40 rounds are fired through it using a G17 frame originally meant to withstand recoil from cal.9mm ammo.

If you have a Gen3 frame it is the same! G17,17L,22,24,31,34,35,37 all the same.
*Note: Ejectors for the 9, 40/357, & 45 GAP are different (3 total). Trigger bars for the 9/40/357 are different from the 45 GAP

Yes it is a G17 Gen3 frame.
